Jennifer Lawrence discusses breast augmentation and possible facelift

Lawrence said her body changed differently after her second child, Louie, was born in April last year. She and husband Cooke Maroney also have a four-year-old son, Cy, born in February 2022. In a recent interview, she described the surgery as a reward after labour and said she wanted to feel confident before filming a nude scene in Martin Scorsese’s What Happens At Night.

She has previously said she wants to protect her children’s privacy. Discussing motherhood, Lawrence said it affects decisions about whether, where and when she works, and has “opened up the world” to her. She also said that, after her first pregnancy, her body “pretty much” bounced back, but after the second, “nothing bounced back.”

Lawrence has rejected claims that she had a nose job, eye surgery or extensive facial reconstruction, attributing changes to ageing, losing facial “baby weight” and makeup. She said she gets “baby Botox” but cannot have too much because she needs movement in her face for the camera. She credited makeup artist Hung Vanngo with techniques that have led people to assume she had eye surgery.

She also said she challenged a film set after discovering that crew members who had not been approved were present during a nude scene. Lawrence said she spoke up because the principle mattered for younger, less established actors. Her earlier nude roles include Red Sparrow (2018), No Hard Feelings (2023) and Die My Love (2025).

Lawrence recently launched her haircare line, Mes°, with three products. She is also returning as Katniss Everdeen in Sunrise On The Reaping, a prequel set 24 years before the original Hunger Games. The film features Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson and is due in UK cinemas on 20 November.
