Mediaworks, the holding company under the Central European Press and Media Foundation, reported a 14 billion forint loss for 2025. With state advertising revenues severed, mass layoffs are underway at outlets that previously functioned as propaganda instruments. An audit of the former administration's media spending is ongoing, with management competitions expected to begin this autumn.
