Six celebrity relationships rocked by public cheating scandals

Kristen Stewart’s affair with married director Rupert Sanders, whom she met while working on Snow White and the Huntsman, became public when US Weekly published photographs on 24 July 2012. Stewart apologized less than a day later, as did Sanders. Stewart and Robert Pattinson later split in 2013, while Sanders’ wife, Liberty Ross, filed for divorce.

In 2017, while Kevin Hart’s wife Eniko was eight months pregnant, an unknown person sent her a message containing an edited video of Hart with Montia Sabbag in a hotel room. The person who secretly recorded the footage tried to extort Hart. He and Eniko contacted authorities rather than pay. Hart apologized publicly; Sabbag denied involvement in the extortion attempt and sued Hart and Jonathan Todd for $60 million. The case was dismissed. Hart’s former friend Jonathan Jackson was later charged for his alleged role in the extortion plot. Eniko forgave Hart after giving him an ultimatum, and they remain together.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian were both married when they met filming Northern Lights. Cibrian denied affair rumors in March 2009, calling them a “fabricated story,” but photographs of the pair dining together appeared online. He later separated from Brandi Glanville, and Rimes split from Dean Sheremet.
