Russian military bloggers have characterized the encounter as a meticulously planned trap. According to the Z-channel Vojevoda, the operation utilized three F-16s: one simulated a strike with guided bombs while the others provided cover, effectively drawing the Su-35 into range. The target was reportedly illuminated by a Patriot radar system deployed 60 kilometers from the front line. Fighterbomber, another prominent Russian military commentator, described the battle as an impressive display of Ukrainian coordination, noting that the Russian pilot was forced to eject before the aircraft crashed.
