Jordan’s journey began after she abandoned a marketing career in Spain, eventually finding her calling underwater in Thailand. She spent years working as a scuba instructor in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Australia. When the pandemic halted global travel and left her stranded in Bali, she seized the opportunity to learn to code, initially relying on YouTube tutorials before enrolling in a professional bootcamp to gain a technical foundation.
Her transition into tech was far from seamless. After being fired from an early developer role, she doubled down on her skills, eventually securing a corporate position that provided the necessary infrastructure knowledge to build her own product. Today, Jordan balances her time between Thailand and the ocean, working part-time as a diving instructor to sustain her living expenses while dedicating her mornings to developing a specialized booking application for the diving community. By rejecting the traditional nine-to-five, she has achieved a level of professional freedom that allows her to kite surf or dive on a whim, proving that a mid-career pivot can yield both personal satisfaction and creative independence.
