Conway brings three decades of industry experience to the role, having most recently served as vice chairman of consumer and retail investment banking at Bank of America. His appointment follows a period of notable activity for Citi, which recently secured an advisory position on the $65-billion deal involving McCormick’s acquisition of Unilever’s food business.

Before his tenure at Bank of America, Conway spent two decades at Credit Suisse, eventually rising to vice chairman of global consumer products, following early career roles at Salomon Brothers and Morgan Stanley. Based in New York, he will coordinate closely with Stacia Ryan, Citi’s head of consumer and retail, to execute the firm’s growth strategy. Chuck Adams, who leads the broader healthcare, consumer, and retail division, emphasized that Conway’s established client relationships will be central to the bank’s expansion objectives.
