Truth Social to sell high-speed data access to Wall Street traders

Trump Media & Technology Group is launching a paid data feed that provides institutional investors and algorithmic trading firms with near-instant access to posts from Donald Trump and other influential accounts. The product, dubbed Truth API, arrives August 1 as a direct move to capitalize on the platform's market-moving potential.

The service targets financial organizations that require faster information processing than standard platform notifications provide. By licensing data from the 10 most-followed accounts—including those of Donald Trump, his sons, and high-profile supporters like Sean Hannity—the company aims to monetize the volatility often triggered by the former president’s public pronouncements. The feed will also include an archive of posts dating to 2022.

Interim CEO Kevin McGurn framed the API as a strategy to create a meaningful revenue stream while curbing unauthorized data scraping. Although legal experts note that private platforms generally have the right to tier information access, the move has drawn sharp fire from critics. Senator Ron Wyden warned the initiative creates a financial windfall for the Trump family at the expense of fair market access. For firms utilizing the service, the goal is clear: avoiding the manual monitoring that has previously governed how Wall Street reacts to the platform’s most consequential updates.
